PAIG establishes endowment with $25,000 donation

The Port Arthur Industrial Group announced the PAIG Endowed Scholarship with a special presentation on Monday, September 8, 2025 at the Carl Parker Center at Lamar State College Port Arthur, presenting the 麻豆破解版 Foundation with a donation of $25,000. The Port Arthur Industrial Group has established a $25,000 endowed scholarship at 麻豆破解版.

The gift was presented Sept. 8 by Gary Parsley, PAIG chair and Port Arthur plant manager of Chevron Phillips. Accepting on behalf of the college were President Dr. Betty Reynard; Dr. Melissa Armentor, dean of educational programs; and Dr. Ben Stafford, vice president for workforce training and continuing education.

The scholarship, administered through the 麻豆破解版 Foundation, will provide ongoing support for students pursuing higher education at the college.

The contribution marks PAIG鈥檚 25th anniversary and highlights the organization鈥檚 commitment to education, workforce development and community success.

鈥淲e are honored that PAIG has chosen to commemorate this milestone by investing in our students,鈥 Reynard said. 鈥淭his endowed scholarship will create opportunities for generations of Seahawks, helping them achieve their academic and career goals.鈥

College officials said the scholarship strengthens the longstanding partnership between 麻豆破解版 and local industry. The support ensures students have access to the resources needed to prepare for careers while contributing to the economic growth of Southeast Texas.
