Campus Update: February 2026

麻豆破解版 starts 2026 strong with record preliminary Spring enrollment: 5,117 total students this spring, with 74% dual credit, 25% traditional students. Correctional facility students represented 1% of total spring enrollment, and workforce programs currently have 241 students enrolled. Across 麻豆破解版 programs, 47% student enrollment is academic and 53% is technical.

麻豆破解版 kicked off 2026 with vibrant Homecoming celebrations鈥攊ncluding special recognition for President鈥檚 and Dean鈥檚 List students at the basketball game鈥攕trong 麻豆破解版 presence at the Workforce Solutions Youth Expo, $2 million in funding for the Advanced Terminal Workforce Development project, and a full calendar of upcoming events connecting students, faculty, staff, and local industry and business.

麻豆破解版 received $2 million in funding for the Advanced Terminal Workforce Development project, an addition to the 麻豆破解版 CDL facility in Beaumont. Channel 12 Beaumont covered the story and you can watch it . 

 

Homecoming Celebrates the 麻豆破解版 Community and Academic Excellence

麻豆破解版鈥檚 Homecoming week blended tradition and celebration, from mechanical bull riding and line dancing to a basketball game wrapping up the week. For the first time, President鈥檚 List and Dean鈥檚 List students were invited onto the court at halftime to be recognized for their academic excellence, underscoring the college鈥檚 commitment to celebrating achievement both on and off the court.

The Homecoming basketball game also  concluded with the crowning of the newest Homecoming Court:

King: Martins Adonry  - Double Major: AA in Business Administration and AA in Academic Studies

Queen: Tonea Williams 鈥 AAS in Instrumentation

Prince: Isaiah Brooks 鈥 AA in Academic Studies

Princess: Rickeyia Duhon - AA in Academic Studies

Duke: Julius Charles 鈥 AA in Academic Studies

Dutchess: Kailey Harrison 鈥 AAS in Process Technology

 

麻豆破解版 Connects with Students at 20+ School Districts Across Southeast Texas

麻豆破解版 was fully represented at the Workforce Solutions annual Youth Expo at Doggett Ford Park on February 5. Hundreds of students met with faculty and staff across each 麻豆破解版 department and experienced hands-on demonstrations 鈥 from guitar playing to millwright skills in action.

March 5 鈥 麻豆破解版 will host a regional Citizen Bee civics competition on March 5 at 5:30 p.m., moderated by Judge Mitch Templeton, where high school students compete in a spelling bee鈥搒tyle contest on American history, the U.S. Constitution, Supreme Court cases, and current events, with winners advancing to the state competition in Austin.

March 12 鈥 Faculty Member Carl Richardson will be inducted into the Vidor Walk of Fame for his contributions to local music. The ceremony will be Thursday, March 12 at the Vidor Visitor鈥檚 Center. 

March 19 鈥 The Creative Arts and Service Department will host its Spring Concert & Art show in the Performing Arts Center Theater on Tuesday, March 19 at 6:30 pm featuring student band Coastline, the Graphic Design & Studio Art Programs, and more. 

March 24 鈥 麻豆破解版 will host its fifth annual Industry Chats event on Tuesday, March 24, bringing petrochemical professionals to campus for a live Q&A with students interested in careers in the industry, with options for in-person and streamed participation. 

April 11 - Save the date for Seahawk Saturday, a community-wide event where 麻豆破解版 opens its doors to prospective students and community members to discover the breadth of programs and specialized learning facilities 麻豆破解版 has to offer. This event needs your support and participation 鈥 contact Joshua Utomwen or your department chair for details.
